Last Thursday I got the call that a New Hampshire music store went out of business,
and Mardens in Ellsworth (I didn't even know there was one) was selling all their stock.
So Bruce and I went up to check it out.
Surprising, I know, but I bought a few items....
1. Roland GR-30 Guitar Synth pedal...an item I've wanted for quite a while to work
with my Godin Classical that has that midi/Roland option. $239...down from $399 used.
2. Roland W-30 Workstation Keyboard. In hopes of a synth for the new band "2 Craft."
Got for $179 (sells for around $300 used).
3. Line 6 Mod Pro effects rack. With Phasing, Flanging, Ring Modulator, Panning, Vibrato, and Rotary Speaker effects. $179 (sold for $299, a $699 list).
4. The piece-de-resistance... a new LTD ESP H-400 Guitar. Very similar to a Paul Reed Smith,
or the Carvin I wanted: Mahogany body, flame maple top, with wooden binding, 24 frets (jumbo), mother of pearl inlays, neck-thru body with an extremely thin heel, volume and tone
with a five-way switch that controls 2 sweet Seymour Duncan pickups, the famous '59 in the
neck position, and the JB (Jeff Beck) in the lead. $335, with a nice padded and lined Levy guitar bag. Sells through Musician's Friend for $559, a $799 list.
Hmmm...gotta go make some more money now!
