Why are some things so damn hard???
So I've had major issues trying to get through to some websites (ebay, blogger, scottrade) when connected to my wireless router. And with PnP software I lose my DSL connection. So I do the router upgrades, etc. etc., to no avail. I bypass the router and everything is peachy keen, but it's no fun plugging and un-plugging everytime I need the wireless connection.
So today I do more research at netgear.com and they mention something about MTU speed, and to try lowering it to 1400 with this program: http://www.dslreports.com/drtcp. Low and behold...it works!
Well, I never!

Saw a couple cool movies in the past few nights. Two nights ago I watched Antwone Fisher...I can't believe it's been out this long before I'd seen it. Very strong movie. Brought a tear or two to the eye I'm not ashamed to say.
Then last night I watched The Eye or "Jian Gui" on IFC. Not quite as scary as "Ringu" but kinda creepy. The only thing that pissed me off was when she was playing violin they used a cheesy synth sound to mimic it and sounded like crap. Unless they were going for some effect that a real violin wouldn't produce (I doubt it).
Later on IFC was Dinner for Five with Jon Favreau...that always cracks me up. Industry movie makers, and actors, who at the dinner table all have some movie project in common, or worked with the same director or something. Some rich discussion and arguments. And good food, booze and cigars, what could be wrong with that?
Peace out.
